Henry praises Walcott's performance

Share |

Henry is one of the best players of the world, so when he speaks about football, he is as accurate as on the field. Now he has voiced his support for the new Arsenal talent Theo Walcott, saying that the former Southampton frontman has "something special".

The French star has been reported to have voiced his displeasure to manager Arsène Wenger about not buying experienced personnel, and Walcott himself had not played a Premiership game before this season.

However, the captain of the Gunners is now a Walcott fan, saying that the teenager had great potential.

Indeed, Henry stated: "Theo will be a future star for England, there is no doubt about that. A sign of a great player is that he makes a major impression on you the first time you see him...

"Suddenly, there is this amazing talent with such pace and an incredible first touch, and I said to myself, 'Wow, there is something special here.'

"And now he is stronger, more experienced and he looks at home at this level. You will see him play more and become the star that everybody at Arsenal knows he can become" he finished.
