Two goals were enough

Share |

Thierry Henry scored two amazing goals (amazing in different ways) and Arsenal downed Liverpool 2-1 on Sunday, while two goals from Wayne Rooney gave Manchester United a 2-0 win over Newcastle in the English Premier League.

His first goal was a great move where the French player showed all his class and power to cross the ball on the run. The result was a very bautiful goal. And the second scoring was amazing as well, but because of a huge mistake.

In fact, Henry punished a rare blunder from Steven Gerrard to score the winner at Highbury, as Arsene Wenger's side moved up two places to fifth and within two points of Tottenham.

Steven Gerrard played a back pass toward goalkeeper Pepe Reina, but Henry intercepted to round the 'keeper and score with seven minutes to go.

The French striker celebrated his goal by running around the field holding his nose.

He claimed it was nothing disrespectful toward Liverpool, but to mark the fact that he had sniffed out the chance.
