Arsenal FC vice-chairman David Dein stated that he is willing to do anything to keep French striker Thierry Henry at the club.

Once again, speculations around Henry's future in north London started to talk about a new ckub in the Frenchman career. However, he announced recently that he wanted to stay at Arsenal and sign a new contract.

Titi Henry wanted assurances that the club was moving forward and matching his ambitions before committing to a new contract and Dein has promised Arsenal fans that he will do whatever it takes to keep the captain happy.

'You know where we are with Thierry after he came out publicly and said he wants to stay at the Gunners, and we really want him to stay,' Dein said.

'We are doing everything to ensure we both achieve our objectives and we are in advanced stages of that process.'

The striker is seen as vital to the future success of Arsenal, with many commentators believing that Arsenal would struggled to compete for trophies without him.

Manager Arsene Wenger has splashed the cash during the last two weeks in an attempt to strengthen the Gunners' squad, with a teenager Theo Walcott the latest name to arrive at Highbury.

Dein believes that the club is matching Henry's ambition and a deal with be reached to secure the captain's long-term deal.

'We can just show ambition by what we are doing, we are building a 60,000-seater stadium and bringing in talent,' Dein added.

'He will not get a better financial offer than he will get from Arsenal and when Thierry knows he's ready he knows where we are.'

Meanwhile, new Arsenal signing Emmanuel Adebayor has vowed to quit Togo's African Cup of Nations squad after reportedly falling out with team coach Stephen Keshi.
